Mothers can pass the virus to babies during birth. Women can pick the virus up from an object such as a toilet seat or bath towel.

Genital warts and HPV are highly contagious. They can show up on women in her anus, cervix, perineum, vulva and vagina.

Women can still get pregnant if they have genital warts. There can be problems from this however. They can be more painful and flair up more often during pregnancy.  Certain medicines can be harmful to the fetus as well.
